Hi :)
I just found this LJ, and i dont really have any icons or fics to share :( but i wanted to post anyway... cause i adore House/Stacy and dont understand the H/S hate pretty much everywhere else! Seriously, I dont get it!
I was also wondering, what makes everyone love House/Stacy? For me, as much as im ok with House/Cameron... (sort of... sometimes... *winks*) House himself loves Stacy. So for that reason, (because i love House so much) im a House/Stacy shipper. Stacy has even been referred to as House's "true love" in press releases - so shouldnt that go some way to convince people that House really does love her??!!
I love that their history is as complicated as it is... and in the scenes they had together, the tension and chemistry was utterly undeniable. House loves her, she loves him... yet, he hasnt been able to forgive her for what she did :( But he's conflicted - cause he loves her. Its so complex and intricate and emotional, and i love it!
Anyway, just wanted to post to say im very very happy that there's a place where Stacy and the House/Stacy ship doesnt get continually bashed :)

For me, I actually wanted to hate Stacy. Not knowing the whole story behind what happened between them, I thought she must have been a real witch who trampled all over him before she left. But no... she's this sweet, intelligent woman who can throw his snide remarks right back at him with a fond smile, and dangit, I fell in love with her.
I think it was their hug in Honeymoon that made me realize I was being swayed, heh. The look on his face... like he was thinking, "I never want to let go, please don't make me let go..." Guh! And then near the end of the ep when she came into his office and they had that little talk. Man oh man... how can anybody hate Stacy when it's so painfully obvious that House absolutely worships her? I don't know how Hugh Laurie did it, but the agony in his eyes when she said she couldn't be with him, and then the way he closed them when she kissed him... wow.
I'm a House/Stacy shipper and DARN PROUD.

Exactly. That killed me. It's painfully obvious he loves her so, so much, and that's why I love it.

In particular I am pleased that IRL Sela is more than two years older than HL and that she makes her character totally plausible as a love interest.

Wow, you said it. I'm totally with you on this one. In fact, the "Three Stories" episode, in which we were introduced to the House/Stacy backstory, is the ep that totally made me fall in love with the show, the character of House, and Hugh Laurie all at once!
The scene in "Honeymoon", when she hugs him and you see such intense emotion and yearning in his face.....I just melted, I mean who wouldn't?
As for the House/Cameron ship, I never got it. I don't see any potential there at all. House/Cuddy, now.....there's definitely a little spark of chemistry there. If it weren't for his still being so obviously in love with Stacy, I could definitely throw in my lot with that. But no......House/Stacy it is, and House/Stacy it shall remain. ;-)
